Senior Buyer - Lifestyle, Homeware & Accessories

END. has built a successful and respected ‘Lifestyle’ business, working with leading brands and designers across categories including Homeware, Accessories, Eyewear, Fragrance, Skincare, Lighting and Tech & Audio. END. Lifestyle sits alongside END. Men’s and END. Women’s with a complementary mix of products that appeal to the END. customer who appreciates art, design and a contemporary aesthetic.

The END. Lifestyle business has developed into its own brand, with dedicated marketing channels, locations across our physical stores and buying team. We are looking for an experienced senior buyer to head up END. Lifestyle and lead the buying team based in our London office in Highbury & Islington. We are looking for the perfect balance of buying talent and taste, commercial acumen, management experience and professionalism. The successful candidate will manage, develop and grow the business within the Lifestyle department, with direction from the Company CEOs, but the autonomy to make decisions and drive the department forward. What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Leading the END. Lifestyle business and buying team, delivering on KPIs including revenue and margin.
  • Work closely with the Buying Directors to develop the product offer, selection and strategy.
  • Work with the Marketing and Web Content teams to influence and assist with strategy and direction.
  • Stay abreast of key product releases within these categories, suggesting launch activities/ work with Marketing to leverage releases and highlight key products.
  • Manage and develop key supplier relationships to help grow and develop the business and increase margins.
  • Become a main point of contact on a day-to-day basis within the business for all Lifestyle suppliers, attending buying appointments and other buying related trips.
  • Take ownership of the order process, ensuring all product orders are placed in a timely manner. Work as part of the buying team to place to select product and place order for all Lifestyle brands at END.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team on stock forecasting and re-orders, ensuring all opportunities are maximised.
  • Research and present new brands and opportunities to the business.

What you’ll be able to demonstrate:

Skills and experience

  • An experienced buyer who is educated to degree level, you will have a strong interest and enthusiasm for the brands and products within the ‘Lifestyle’ sector of the industry as well as an interest in retail, fashion, design and business.
  • Existing relationships within the sector would be a significant advantage, but not necessary.
  • Strong supplier stakeholder management skills and experience.
  • Experience managing and building a high performing team.
  • Highly professional, an outstanding communicator, and have strong networking skills.
  • Show initiative, highly motivated and can work independently.
  • Organised, efficient, highly analytical and with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and strong decision-making skills.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to make strong commercial decisions.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft software.
