The Assistant Management Accountant will be working as part of our fast paced and forward-thinking finance team to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. They will be responsible for reconciliation of areas of the balance sheet, P&L reporting and departmental reporting, working cross functionally with different teams across the business.

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations for designated areas to a high standard
  • Posting accruals and prepayments to populate P&L
  • Produce departmental reports and analyse alongside department heads, developing and harnessing strong partnering relationships
  • Assist with sections of the MI pack, delivering a best in class output alongside meaningful narrative
  • Understanding of detailed Budget to inform reporting
  • Be proactive during daily tasks to support process improvements
  • Ad hoc reporting and related tasks to support the wider team
  • Assist with ongoing development of rigorous controls environment
  • Development of automation and Excel modelling in relevant areas

What you’ll be able to demonstrate:

Skills and experience

  • Previous significant experience of working in an accounts role, preferably in a high-volume management accounts role.
  • Highly numerate with excellent IT skills; particularly MS Excel and Word with a high level of both spoken and written English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a drive for problem solving.
  • Exposure to working with foreign currency and FX rates
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with motivation to maintain and develop internal and external relationships.
