CHARTERED BUILDING SURVEYOR– FULL-TIME, WASHINGTON

END. has ambitious growth plans to build our bricks and mortar retail offering. As such, we are looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join the existing inhouse Property Team. This is an exciting new role which will enable the right candidate to develop the role over the coming years. You will be responsible for helping deliver the property strategy. The role will suit someone who is looking for an exciting, fast paced work environment and looking to make a real difference.

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Undertaking condition surveys on premises, ahead of acquiring
  • Measured Surveys, design and specification writing
  • Good understanding of JCT Contracts
  • Project Managing fit-outs
  • Quality and Technical Monitoring
  • Contract Administration
  • Dealing with Dilapidations as and when required
  • Working with our in-house Facilities Team to diagnose building defects and arranging the more complex maintenance works
  • PPMP and asset condition schedule

What you’ll be able to demonstrate:

Skills and experience

  • RICS qualified with strong demonstrable evidence of post-qualified experience
  • Able to produce reports to a high standard
  • Strong project management experience
  • Organised and able to prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations skilfully and bring solutions to challenging situations.
  • Work under own initiative and also as part of a team.
  • Required to drive between sites so need to have access to own vehicle and a clean driving licence.
  • International travel will be expected
