SENIOR BUYER - MENSWEAR - FULL-TIME, HIGHBURY, LONDON

We currently have an amazing opportunity in our Buying & Merchandising team for an experienced Senior Buyer – Menswear. The Senior Buyer will head up a menswear buying team and dedicated portfolio of circa 100 brands. The role is based in our London office in Highbury & Islington, with national and international travel where required. We are looking for the perfect balance of buying talent and taste, commercial acumen, management experience, and professional pedigree. The successful candidate will manage, develop and grow their own dedicated portfolio of menswear brands, as well as managing and developing junior members of the team.

This is a senior role within the END. Buying Team and requires previous buying experience, market knowledge, and an ability to work independently to develop the business.

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Head up a menswear buying team and portfolio of 100+ brands and designers.
  • Lead, manage and develop the team.
  • Work closely with the Buying Directors to develop the product offer, selection, and strategy.
  • Work as part of the buying team to place to select product and place order for all menswear brands at END.
  • Become a main point of contact on a day-to-day basis for a dedicated portfolio of brands and designers.
  • Attend buying appointments and other buying related trips / Zooms.
  • Manage and develop key supplier relationships to help grow and develop the business.
  • Take ownership of the order process, ensuring all product orders are placed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the merchandising team on re-orders, ensuring all opportunities are maximised.
  • Work closely with END.’s suppliers to develop and grow the business.
  • Research and present new brands and opportunities to the business.
  • Work with suppliers to increase margins.
  • Work to KPI’s including revenue, margin, new brand acquisition and collaboration / SMU development.
  • Work with the Marketing and Web Content teams to influence and assist with strategy and direction where required.
  • Work with the other buying teams to highlight opportunities and assist on projects where required

What you’ll be able to demonstrate:
Skills and experience

  • Extensive experience in a fashion buying role.
  • Strong supplier stakeholder management skills and experience.
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm for the menswear industry.
  • An interest in retail, fashion, design and business.
  • Experience of managing and building a team.
  • Educated to Degree level.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Highly professional, an outstanding communicator with strong networking skills.
  • Shows initiative, highly motivated and can work independently.
  • Organised & efficient.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and strong decision-making skills
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to make strong commercial decisions.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft software.
