ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - FULL TIME, NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our award winning Finance Team for an Assistant Management Accountant. Working in a busy and forward-thinking team, we are looking for someone who can deliver an excellent service to both our suppliers and internal customers.

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

      • Responsible for core controls including accruals and prepayments
      • Assist with the delivery of our monthly MI pack
      • Responsible for financial analysis of key business cost drivers
      • Assist with development of internal reporting
      • Business partner to departments with the aim of driving cost saving initiatives
      • Assist finance manager with achieving team deadlines
      • Assist in seeing business projects through to a successful conclusion
      • Excellent communication skills working with stakeholders at all levels


        What you’ll be able to demonstrate:

        Skills and experience

        • High calibre part-qualified, with at least 3 years’ experience
        • Significant experience of working in a finance department with excellent transferable skills
        • E-commerce / retail sector experience beneficial, but not a pre-requisite
        • Ambitious, hardworking attitude
        • Highly analytical, with the ability to manipulate and analyse high volumes of transactional data with ease
        • Excellent IT skills, specifically advanced Excel & systems knowledge
        • Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
        • Commercial acumen and exposure to / understanding of the global currency markets would be beneficial
        • Exposure to ERP implementations would be advantageous Exposure to ERP implementations would be advantageous
        • Customs knowledge preferable, not essential
