FRONTEND DEVELOPER - FULL TIME, LONDON

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our IT Engineering department for a Frontend Developer. You'll join our END. Frontend team primarily focussed on building out new features for the website in a componentised and re-usable way. As part of our in-house team, you will be able to produce your best work, in a relaxed creative environment, and will be rewarded by seeing the impact of your work on real customers in the real world.

What you'll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new cutting-edge functionality and features
  • Troubleshoot issues across the entire Frontend
  • Work to improve performance, security and scalability.
  • Work in an Agile development environment
  • Documenting complex processes where needed

What you'll be able to demonstrate:

Skills and experience

  • Core frontend coding skills (HTML, CSS)
  • A strong proficiency in JavaScript and up to date with ES6
  • A thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with JavaScript transpiling (in tools like Babel)
  • Experience with tools like Webpack, NPM, Yarn etc.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools in Git (Bitbucket, GitHub)
  • A good eye for design and user experience
  • Experience with server-side JavaScript (Node.js/Express/Next)
  • Experience with Magento and Kubernetes / Docker
  • Experience of UI library development (using tools like Storybook)
  • Experience writing CSS in JavaScript (Styled Components as an example)
