GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT- FULL-TIME, NORTH SHIELDS

Our Finance team were recently shortlisted for Finance Team of the Year and the Northern FD Awards and we currently have an exciting opportunity in our Finance team for a Group Financial Accountant.

As Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate monthly reporting of group entities and assisting the Group Reporting Manager with month-end consolidation, year-end statutory audit and European growth strategy.

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Lead monthly processing of group entities.
  • Support monthly closing process for the consolidation of the P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Reconciliation of all Balance sheet accounts for the consolidated entity.
  • Support the wider finance team on balance sheet reconciliations .
  • Support the preparation of Board Pack, delivering accurate and insightful reports.
  • Input and assist on year end process and year end statutory audit.
  • Support Finance Leadership with ad hoc financial reporting requests and compliance matters.
  • Assist other special projects as assigned.

What you’ll be able to demonstrate:

Skills and experience

  • Up to date and thorough knowledge of accounting standards and their application.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Stakeholder management experience with the ability to engage with colleagues across the organisation.
  • Experience in preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Proven ability to implement to programme of continuous process improvement.
  • Organised and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Positive and proactive mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification (Preferably ACA OR ACCA)
