SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER – FULL-TIME, WASHINGTON

Senior Photographers efficiently capture high quality e-commerce product photography in alignment with END. style guides and brand requirements. As a senior resource, they are expected to work across a range of set and product types, help steer ways of working, and train/coach more junior members of staff.

The Photography team work as part of the end-to-end Studio Workflow process, photographing END. products to support their sale online for a best-in-class retail experience.

What you’ll be doing:

Key responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality e-commerce photography in alignment with style guides and brand requirements to support the sale of our product online
  • Ability to work across all set types and spanning multiple product ranges (menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, lifestyle and accessories)
  • Able to prepare sets and check photographic equipment is in good working order and highlighting the need for any repairs
  • Safety and upkeep of ecommerce photographic areas
  • Adhering and contributing to the Photography Style Guide to ensure that all products are photographed in a relevant and realistic manner
  • Defines, communicates and manages Photography team processes, systems and tools
  • Support team leader with ad hoc responsibilities such as Studio walkarounds, performance monitoring and quality standards
  • Ensuring personal quality standards and continuous improvement to drive an exceptional customer retail experience -
    • Setting the standard in both numbers and quality of output
    • Ensuring images are of the correct format, file size, cropped, named and output appropriately
    • Styling and shaping garments in accordance with END. guidelines and with suitable consideration for minimising Retouch time
    • Where appropriate, assisting in conducting on-site audits to ensure Photography quality standards
    • Excellent awareness and understanding of product care, preventing damage
    • Assist in resolution of appropriate Studio Support queries
  • Coaching, training and mentoring Photography staff, providing support and guidance to develop skill sets
  • Photography reporting - providing the business with relevant, timely and accurate data and targets to drive performance and decision making
  • Building strong relationships across the studio (particularly with Styling, Image QA and Retouch) to help ensure a smooth and aligned workflow process

Skills and experience

  • Good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks. Knowledge can be acquired through a combination of job-related training and considerable on- the-job experience. Operates within a defined role, with some autonomy in how tasks are delivered.
  • Good understanding of how the team integrates and collaborates with other teams to achieve overall objectives of the department.
  • Provides on the job training/support for new team members. May allocate resources and coordinate tasks for the team, check and report on quality and work progress and individual actions. May act as coach/ mentor.
  • Understands procedures and has the capability to evaluate and select the appropriate alternatives from defined options and plans and monitors own work within agreed deadlines. Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work. Produces routine reports and other documents from standard templates. Performs a range of activities in a variety of structured environments.
  • Direct impact on customer experience and team performance through the quality of the tasks performed or services provided.
  • Good verbal and written communication with colleagues and/or customers.
